A graduate of Humber College’s Film and Television Production program, Adam has built his career in television as an editor, developing a strong technical foundation alongside a keen sense of visual storytelling, rhythm, and performance. His editing work has earned him a Canadian Screen Award for Best Picture Editing in Reality/Competition on Big Brother Canada S12.
Adam Muscat Sousa is a Canadian born Maltese and Portuguese writer, director, and editor based in Toronto.
As a director, Adam is drawn to intimate, character-driven stories rooted in his heritage and culture, finding meaning in the simple. His approach is grounded in realism and observation, with a desire to preserve the small details of people, places, and relationships that can otherwise go unseen, while exploring heightened emotional and psychological states.
