Adam Muscat Sousa is a Canadian writer, director, and editor based in Toronto.
A graduate of Humber College’s Film and Television Production program, Adam has built a career in television as an editor & ast. editor, developing a strong technical foundation alongside a keen sense of visual storytelling, rhythm, and performance. In 2025 his editing work earned a Canadian Screen Award for Best Picture Editing in Reality/Competition.
As a writer/director, Adam is drawn to intimate, personal, character-driven stories rooted in his own life experiences, heritage, & culture. His approach is grounded in realism and observation, with a desire to preserve the small details in the people, places, and relationships closest to him working in different mediums such as film, television, music videos, documentary & more.
